How much
fun are these to make! Just different pieces of oxidized brass, copper & steel glued together with E6000 glue. Every thing
on this page was made from parts & pieces of old patina metals. You can make those "squiggly" pieces with wire.
Just bend the wire then hammer it to flatten.
There are just endless design possibilities with mixed oxidized metals!

Another example of mixed oxidized
copper & brass. I call this puzzle jewelry because it's a matter of getting a bunch of pieces and then just putting them
together so they "fit".
Pendants are the most fun and
sooo easy to make (because you don't have to find two of everything :). These are made in just minutes! I don't have alot
of time to spending designing anymore so I kind of just threw these together but at least you can get the idea from these
:)))
pss...after completing your design, but before adding stones or beads, you may want to protect the finish
by spraying your piece with a clear mat/satin lacquer. ace hardware has an excellent brand called "great finishes"
but you can also find many brands at walmart or any craft and/or hardware store.
I have unique lots of oxidized brass & copper available at my ebay auctions
or at my etsy shop (see links below).
I personally
oxidize these lots by hand from my studio in Arizona using vintage brass pieces that I have acquired over the years.
Every lot contains a unique mix oxidized colors ranging from
a deep antique bronze color to a warm amber tone.
tips...
buff individual pieces with xtra fine steel wool to expose more yellow brass or red copper highlights. the
glue on earring backs can be covered with a small piece of leather. cover other exposed glue with thinned black paint plaid
paint (water based).
